Turtle Cake

   1      package       German chocolate cake mix
  14      ounces        caramel candy
     1/2  cup           evaporated milk
     3/4  cup           butter or margarine -- melted
   2      cups          pecans
   1      cup           chocolate chips

Prepare cake mix.  Pour half in 9 x 13-inch baking dish and bake at 350 F. 
for 15 minutes.  Melt caramels in milk and butter; pour over cake.  Add 
the nuts and chips, then add the rest of the cake batter.  Bake at 350 F. 
for 20 minutes.
